...STATEMENT OF FAITH

6. The Holy Spirit

a) The fruit of the Holy Spirit: The work of Holy Spirit in our lives is evidenced by: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

b) The gifts of the Holy Spirit: The power of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers and is manifested through spiritual gifts. To one is given the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge, to another faith, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another the ability to speak in different kinds of tongues and still to another the interpretation of tongues.

The Holy Spirit is also our teacher and the source of power for life and our service in the ministry.(Gal 5:7-9; 1 Cor. 12:1-12; Luke 12: 12; Acts 1: 8; 2: 147; Is. 53: 4; Matt 18: 16-17).

7. Ordinances of the Church We believe that the Lord gave the following ordinances to the church and therefore must be observed accordingly.

a) Baptism in water: The Ordinance of Baptism is the symbolic identification of the believer with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28: 19, Acts 10: 47-48; Rom. 6:4).

b) The Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion: The Holy Communion is the expression of our partaking of the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4) and a memorial of His suffering and death. (1 Cor. 11: 26) enjoined on all believers.

8. The Second Coming of Christ “Jesus Christ will return to the earth in the clouds in the same manner as He departed” (Acts 1:11)

9. The Final Judgment There will be a final judgment in which the dead will be raised and will be judged. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophets, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Matt. 25: 46; Heb. 9: 20; Rev. 20:10-15; 21:1-27).

10. The New Heaven and the New Earth The Lord shall create a new earth and new heaven void of suffering and woes but peace, love and joy, Christ being the ruler. (Rev. 21:1)
